Rob Pease
Chair of the Board
Mr. Pease was previously president and CEO of Sabina Gold and Silver, a publicly traded exploration stage mining company focused on the development of the Back River gold project in Nunavut, Canada and America. Mr. Pease was also a Strategic Advisor and Director of Richfield Ventures until its acquisition by New Gold in 2011. Mr. Pease was president and CEO of Terrane Metals Corp. Since its inception in 2006 until its acquisition in 2010 by Thompson Creek Metals Company.
He was also employed by the Placer Dome group for 25 years until 2006. From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Pease was the General Manager, America. Exploration and Global Major Projects, where he was responsible for managing all aspects of Placer Dome's American exploration, and overseeing the geological aspects of world-wide advanced stage, major exploration and development projects.
Anton Lewandowicz, BS Geology, JD,
Director/Project Manager
Mr. Anton has broad, extensive experience in the natural resources sector, including more than two decades of successfully managing diverse portfolios as a senior executive at multiple international mining companies. Mr. Anton has been responsible for government relations, legal, security, land, environment, public relations, and community affairs.
He joined Kinross Gold Corporation (TSX, NYSE) in 2007 and served in a number of roles, including Senior Vice-President, Global Government Relations, Security and Lands. He has wide-ranging experience on five continents, including significant accomplishments relating to development projects.
Barbara Womersley, B.Comm., CPHR, ICD.D
Director
Ms. Womersley is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources and brings over 20 years of experience in a variety of industries with a focus on the mining industry, including previous senior roles at Barrick Gold Corp, Lundin Mining Corp and Yukon Zinc Corp.
Ms. Womersley runs a human resources consultancy, leading projects such as leadership coaching and advising, compensation system review and implementation, recruitment for senior roles, HR policy and project management plan development, and performance management system development and implementation.
Wendy Louie, CPA, CA
Director
Ms. Louie is a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA,CA) with over 25 years of diverse finance and leadership experience with a focus on the mining industry. Ms. Louie was the Vice President Finance and CFO of Sabina Gold and Silver Corp. until its acquisition by B2Gold Corp. in April 2023. During this time, she had oversight of financial, legal and contractual matters and was responsible for the successful execution of a complex, US$520 million, project financing package to fund the development of the Back River gold project in Nunavut.
Ms. Louie also held several senior management roles at Goldcorp Inc. from 2006 to 2016 serving as Vice-President Finance, Vice-President Reporting and Assistant Controller. Her background included roles in strategic business planning, project controls and reporting where she led the implementation of financial reporting and planning systems utilized in the management of several large-scale capital projects. From 2004 to 2006, Ms. Louie was also a Senior Tax Manager at Ernst & Young and from 1995 to 2004, she held various finance positions with Duke Energy.
